Results of the round table “From raw materials to the counter”

On September 29, 2017, the round table “From raw materials to the counter” was held at the Department of Meat, Fish and Seafood within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Food and Feed Technologies “.
Among the guests were Ukrainian farmers and entrepreneurs: V. Kishenya, A. Servetnyk (Evpatoria sausages), I. Muedinov (MIK Meat products), P. Kirnev (EKOspice), O. Pihota, G. Dubatovka (PF Garmash), M. Shevchenko (MATIMEX), I. Bardichevskaya (Odessa delicacies), V. Kolesnik, V. Folomiyev (PF Kolesnik), representatives of Market “Kolos” and Kolos LLC, as well as Vice-rector for Scientific and Business Partnership at the University of Food Technologies in Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Dr., Prof. S.G. Dragoev.
Under the direction of the head of the department Prof.  L.G. Vinnikova was established fruitful work of this meeting, where actively discussed the actual problems of the meat industry and ways to solve them. Prof. S.G. Dragoev shared experience in solving these problems in Bulgaria.
As a result of the round table, a proposal was made to create an association of producers of meat and meat products of the southern region with the active participation of the Department of Meat, Fish and Seafood  ONAFT. The purpose of the association’s activity is to highlight producers and departments problems and ways of their solution, conduct educational seminars, trainings, and also create an internet resource for the association’s public activities.
